In December 2011 Hiep Dang returned to Vietnam for the first time in 37 years. He was accompanied by his two daughters Huong and Hang, his grand daughter Talula, and Zach & David. Leaving Los Angles on Christmas day at 11 am with a connection in Seoul Korea Hiep returned to Vietnam arriving in Hanoi on the evening of December the 27th. For the next two weeks the group traveled from the north of Vietnam to the South visiting Hanoi, Ha Long Bay, Hue, Hoi An, Da Lat and finally returning to Saigon.
